Gua Ma.

Look at how Happening Gua MA is? Por Por with a Shuffle! :)
Aunty Cindy put it in her ear. She laughed.

Aunty Cindy, Gua Ma, Aunty Wendy and Aunty Jane.

Today after mentoring session with Esther and Hannah, I went to spend the afternoon with Gua Ma. Heard about all her improvements but today I managed to see it for myself. She can stand!!! :) Enjoyed the small chats we had and watching her went through her daily routine. Above that, our pictures together as well as capturing moments which I think I should place them here.

Gua Ma doing her standing exercises... so proud of her.

Aunty Cindy and Aunty Jane - they take such great care of grand. *Salutes*

Don't they all look alike. :)

Today, I am just grateful for the people who prayed alongside with me during Gua Ma's critical times. Thank God for His grace and mercy.

Birthday Celebration Continues...

Thanks to a whole group of GALz for the FUN-tastic BBQ and of course the something I've always wanted - a shuffle. It has been great worship experiences whenever I am on the bus now. Jogging is never the same either. :) Just recently, I was running with the shuffle and I ran past my usual 2 rounds, headed for 3 cos my focus was no longer on my tired body and nearly jellified legs but on God, in worship. I felt the Lord speaking to me as I run, "in worship, we could go the distance.."

The Gerberras were lovely too... love it! :) and not to mention, my strawberry shortcake. YUM!

That's My Macdonalds.
Met up with Weiyi, Aimei and Wanjuan for a quick celebration @ Admiralty's Macdonalds. Yeah! Had a party there with Weiyi's sons singing me a birthday song. That's quite a treat! :) Hot sausage muffin with a nice cuppa milo. mmMMMMM I'm lovin' it. esp. after a run. Shiok! Well... the pecks on my cheeks were definitely a bonus. HA.

CareBear Friend.
Finally, get to meet up with Carebear friend recently and was brought to a fine dinner with of course a real surprise - BATH AND BODY WORKs cream & shower gel. Freshly flown in from States. Thank you so much for pampering me .

We went to LA Fondue @ Dempsey. Nice setting... quiet.. well a little too quiet cos we were the only two there til dessert came. Ha.

Final pose before we dip into the melting pot.

We first started with the salads... nice dressings.

We were supposed to dip these into the Cheddar cheezy pot below. *slurps* Delicious.

We then have the chicken on the pan. I was quite intrigued by the dips though. Would say that the chilli and mustard are the better options. However mango was quite refreshing too. Carebear friend went for naturale.

How could we do without a real choc fondue right? We had this lovely platter dipped in Oozing hot, choc... Oooo Lala fondue.

What really blessed me was the fellowship; catching up and finding out how's life for each one of you. Wish for this holiday to be longer so that I could really meet more whom I wanna meet but of well... still give thanks for what I already had.

Zeelot? Zeelet?

How do we pronounce 'Zealot'? The correct pronunciation is ZEE-laht. Found this interesting website which could help us in our pronunciation esp when those biblical words get a little tough to enunciate... :) Enjoy the link

Chilehli's Growth Update

Couple of weeks ago, I bought Chilehli a new home. She seems to like it. Growing well. Stem getting thicker and growing more leaves... yay!~

Added some fertilizers before my Bangkok trip and when I came back, Mummy told me that some of the leaves are withering cos I should not have put in fertilizers during that period of time. The new soil has sufficient nutrients for the young plant. Well eager me wanna speed up the growing process you see. *sigh* Din know that too much could kill. :(

Wise mummy told me to add more water to dilute the concentration. Haaa mummy is how smart. Now you guys know where I get my brilliance from. Kekeke

Take home: Never overload a young believer with too much Christian Jargons/resources/activities though at times we think they might help speed up growth.

Mummy helped me put wooden chopsticks around my plants. When I asked her 'why', she mentioned that the seedlings are very young so not strong enough to withstand the wind and rain. Hence, need some support.

Take home: Young believers need a lot of support too. Prayers, being there, helping them assimilate into cells and services etc... Are you laying out your chopsticks for your 'little seedlings?"

Bangkok Trip

5.40am.
"Mrs Chia, my phone wasn't switched on. It was a little cranky the day before and I think it failed again. Am I late for the flight?

6.10a.m

In cab and uncle went like 130km/hr

6.45am
Changi Airport. Ran past 100m, 200m, 300m... lost count. GOSH Gate 19 is the furthesT! Yikes.

7.00am
Reached gate. Just in time for boarding. Flight took off....7.10am. *phiew*

Was supposed to reach airport at 5am. When was I ever late? Haaa I mean... er.. this late? I guess this is what I call 'once in a life time moment". Won't wanna relive it again. I strongly felt that it was God who woke me up. I mean 5,40am. What a weird time to be awake isn't it? Felt totally bad to have Ella (the local tour guide) and Mrs Chia to wait for me til I reached. And of course to have Siew Chin and LeeLian to run through every floor in my block just to look out for my purple NIKE shoes, attempting to find my unit is really a *sigh*. Thanks guys.

Anyway I made my way up on Jetstar and *Sawadikah* reached Bangkok at 9.30am (sg time).
Day 1 - Temple visitations and Suan Lam Market @ night.

Shao and I on the nearly broke down bus in Bangkok... heading towards the temples.
At the king-used-to-live-in palace. Its scorching tell you.. urgh.

Shao and I looked totally small in comparison to the grand palace behind us. Since I am in the palace... doesn;t tat makes me a princess? Hahahah Princess Soo Wei. Sounds nice. I LIKE!

Went for a quick swim on the first day and then head up the the observatory area our hotel - Baiyoke Sky. Claimed to be the tallest hotel in Thailand.

Standing from the 78th floor of the hotel, the view captured is nothing but
a piece of concrete jungle.

Was a little bored til we met Shawn - Mrs Chia's son. Cute hor? Another 6 year old. He is rather shy. Din wanna take a picture with us til I told him, "Shawn, you should take a picture with us cos one day Shaoying Jie jie and I are going to get rich and famous and then this picture that we take today is going to worth a lot." Haa Yes. I really told him that.

Breakfast time with Lee Lian... I lurve brekkies.

With Li

*Fly me to the moon* I wanna sit in a real one....

Shao din wanna sit a real TUk Tuk with me so I gotta take pic with this.

Day 2. Temple visit again followed by Chatuchak

Nothing to do... so waited outside the temple and took pictures. Siew Ling and I.
Bih Jeng - My mortal during the trip. She wanted to eat A&W curly fries.
But I couldn't find one and so the ingenious me DREW it for her.

Saw this lotus outside of the temple. Can't help but to think of how creative God is to have created so many different species of lotus. This one is so pretty... even the bees wanna take a look.

Bought this small pineapple at JJ Mall and it cost me 30 bahts. But its super sweet.

We had our lunch at MBK and well I guess I just had to give KFC a try there. :)

But I still think that Malaysia's is the nicest. Din really like the oil smell from these chickens.

Even Ronald Macdonald looks diff there. Ha.

We then took a skytrain to Central World. Nice ride.
Day 3.
Ooooo this looks digusting but its YUMMY! Nomtak style slurps. Had this at Big C.

Had a fruit buffet for 150 baht right after pedicure. Tell me, what kind of life is this? *grins*

The fruit aint that nice la... photos are deceiving k?
However I had cravings for mangosteen so yeah.. still satisfied. :)

While waitin for the coach to come pick us up.. bored girls do crazy things.. haaa poor Dyan.

Like I say, I was bored! URGGH!

Took this pic from the bus. It was sunset... Can't wait to get home....

We were there at 18:10.

Siew Chin and I were bored.... waiting... and waiting and waiting.....
BOy! Are we tired!

Took the last pic with Zuli - the sweetie before boarding.

01.10am. Home Sweet Home
02.00am. ZZzzzzZZ

06.45am. Di Di ...Di Di *snoozed*
Bully Free Camp @ Fengshan Primary Day 1. URGH !!! *yawns* to the power of infinity.

Birthday@Swensens

Got to meet a new friend on my birthday last week. Wesley, 6 yrs old. Truly cute. He made my day! Doesn't he look so much like the lady on my left? Haha Yes it's Lee Lian's youngest boy. The one sitting on Siew Chin's lap is Brandon - her eldest. What a young mummy eh? :) Thanks for the lovely companion and of course the gift. :) Appreciate the thought put in to every gift placed in that bag. :)

Had a free bowl of ice-cream and a photo taken. Not bad eh?
However, nothing beats Haagen! haa Yes Biased.

Chefs@WOK

In celebration of my birthday, we had a potluck at Rachael's house on Saturday. Wah! Its like at Jalan Ulu Tilu Tampines lor! hahaha but now I do realised the distance she had to travel each time we meet in the west. Thanks Rach for always being so compromising and sacrificial.

Here's the whole spread that night... thanks to all the great Chefs. Machiam like international buffet. From Chinese to French to Italian, hows that sound? *slurps*

Can't really see from this helicopter view, but shall tell you what we had.
From top left:
Rach's Canned Soup with Raw Corns hahahahah comon' admit it! Raw corns right? ? Right?
Lionel's grilled sundried tomatoes + Salad in french dressing
Lionel's mozarella cheese with tomatoes (expunsive!)
Esther's Fettucine Vongole but Lionel cooked. Hahah

Thank you all once again. :) Felt very blessed by all your well wishes and yummy-licious dishes.

Here are the Chefs behind the scene, busy preparing and cooking....

Look at how packed the table was!

Enjoying the NGIAM and GAO durians.

Michael, we know your secret! MUAhahaha

Laughing really hard cos Lionel was trying so hard to Smoke some ingenious birthday greetings! That was a little unbearable especially when it was just right after Cheryl's highly entertaining "I can see a rainbow.." song. Haa Cher, don't worry I have the video.. should we post it on Germinite? Share the joy? grins*

Jeanie - our photographer cum organiser that night!

Doesn't this look like some quan jia fu? Haa Where is Eleena and Hannah???????

I love this flower pic. Wah the colour makes it looks like some pic taken in the 80s....Don't the boys looked exceptionally nice with their 'petals'? Eh? What's Michael and Esther doing? Flowers from the same region bloom together... kekekekeke

Thanks people...:)
