Soon.

Ladies and gentlemen..... Kieran Junior. :)

I am like how sticky but he is like how adorable. :) I really did clean my arms before carrying him though. Would have given him a kiss if I have my face cleansed. *sigh. He is AIYo so gosh! Dun know how to say. You've got to see it for yourself. :) Beautiful features. He fell asleep.

Went with Cx and Serene after school. He is such a bundle of joy after a long day's work. :) My favourite phrase each time I see newborns , "soon, he'll be running around".

God, My Jehovah Jireh.

Last Tuesday, I went to school without a single cent as I had used all my money to pay for the roller blading course the day before. As I was so busy the past week, I forgot about withdrawing too. I din realise that I was penniless until I felt my stomach growling for food by the time I was teaching the 3rd period. As I was walking back to my office and thinking through whom I should approach to borrow money, I was pleasantly surprised to see a packet of fishball noodle left on my table. Asked some of those whom I am closer to in school if they were the ones who bought it but all declined. Just as I was slurping it, a lady teacher walked past my cubicle and asked if I find the lunch delicious. She smiled.

She bought it for me for breakfast. How sweet right? Seriously, we are not very closed and that is precisely why I was so surprised. That day, God once again showed me that He is a God who provides. He is my Jehovah Jireh. I felt so blessed.

National Day Hols

Holidays are meant for meeting up. Sometimes I wonder why I had to wait til hols before I could meet people up? Time just doesn't permit I guess. There are many whom I would like to meet but could only meet a few. Caught up with Carebear friend recently at Cine to watch Rush Hour3. Din really thought very well of the show at first but it was just er... FARNIE!

Then we went to my fav SOBA Res. I mean I literally craved for it. Haaa Where? Paragon basement. Authentic. Healthy. "..." What are you watiing for? TRY IT!!!! Head home with her on a bus 175 thinking that it would bring me to Tiong Bahru MRT but how wrong.... I ended up at JLan ULU Bilu Gillman Heights. Kekeke But the fellowship on the bus ride was worth the travel.

Met up with Catherine after the several postponings. WE FINALLLY MET! Almost didn't I know. Haa... Cos I forgot all about it until I put my breakfast into my mouth...
"YIAKssss, supposed to meet Catherine for breakfast at Ya Kun "
Zoom! Bang! Click click!
Scrrrreeeched!
"Uncle holland village please!"
"aiyah"
"thanks uncle"
boom!
Swift
"I'm so sorry I am late!"
Soowei's Paisei moments!

That same day, met up with Aunt Cindy, Bil and JIE, yeah the super ever enjoyable combi! Aunt brought us to CAMP and P.S Cafe at Dempsey. Enjoyable cos it was quiet and cakes attractively nice. Interestingly, the Lord reminded me of a sunday school friend whom I have not seen for a long time, earlier that afternoon. Said a short prayer for him. While eating in CAMP, I saw him walked in and I was shocked. God worked in wondrous ways huh? :)

When soowei is notie, she forces people to do funny stunts! Aunty Cindy included. Kawaii neh?

Something more decent.

@P.S.Cafe.
Fabulous hols.

Rollin' Good Times.

Did blading on Monday with some of my colleagues. Boy! It was so fun. Tried before once with En En though it was fun too but I had never left the railing. Hiak hiak hiak . How lousy right? This time round, Siew Chin invited some trainers and I would say, I like their step by step instruction. Had a bit of anxiety since I dun really enjoy speed. However, its just so fun to glide instead of walk. Yea learning a new form of moving can be really exciting.

For that whole 90mins I was just so absorbed in those wheels that it took my mind off the load that is before me. So looking forward to another 90mins of rollin good time. Should I get a pair of blades? Could I? Shall train to be better before I could speak more convincingly before dad.

Garfield Kills.

Was checking with my little one yesterday...

Soowei: so where do you learn the word 'hate' from.
Little one: The Garfield comics lor...that time I read in the library
Soowei: who said it?
Little one: Garfield
Soowei: what does it hate?
Little one: forgot.

No wonder my little one would pick up such a word. GOSH! Its from a grouchy, greedy cat. Wait til I find that book! I might just burn it. Fwahh ahahahhaah.

Hate - a word that kills

Monday came and I got to talk to my little one again. Asked him if he still seriously wanted me dead. Silence. Upon the 3rd repeat, he finally answered with a 'no'.

soowei: So, do you hate me?
Little one: *silence*
soowei: I'll give you some time, tell me when you are ready.
Little one: mmmHmmm er... no
Soowei: Do you know the meaning of 'hate'?
Little one: Bu4 xi3 Huan1
Soowei: Yea, you nearly got that right. However 'hate' is really a very strong word. Some times when we hate people, we really wanted them dead. But that is very mean. What have I done wrong that you would hate me and want me to die? Discipling you? Do you not like everything that I did or only at times when I discipline you?
Little one: Discipline.
Soowei: So, a better word would be 'dislike'. You could say "Miss Sim, I dislike it when you discipline me, I feel angry, or even sad..." What do you have to say now?
Little one: Sorry, Miss Sim.
soowei: Its ok. But I was hurt when I saw the note last Friday. If I don't discipline you it means....
Little one: (interrupts) you don't care.
Soowei: Yes. You are right.

Little one gave me sweet smile. I had so many questions on my mind... So many other things to teach him.... so many things to say.... shall wait til next monday.

..........

Yesterday, I had a rather fun time weighing my kids and measuring their heights. I saw that all of them have grown taller, fatter and well, wonder why but I was quite happy knowing that. :)

On Monday, all my kids were supposed to post their 'apples' onto the 'apple tree' in class. The tree was previously an encouragement board. Where my kids would post to thank anyone in class, school or their family. Have decided to change it this term as a "public journal" for them.

Topics given were:
1. How do you feel today?
2. How was the weekend?
3. What are you doing this weekend?

They could write on anyone of them. All except one wrote something that shocked me, threw me off balance and simply blew my mind. That kid wanna kill me. He wanted me dead. I brought down the post and had a talk with him after class. Asked if he seriously wanted me dead, he replied positively. I asked again if he hated me. He agreed. I asked if he could think of an incident that made him felt the way he did, he was silent.

My conscience is clear of course, of how I have always treated him with love. I do discipline him and for that I am not at all ashamed. However, that's where the hurt comes in. Cos I invested in him.

I left him with the weekend to think things through and would talk to him again. I don't think this is a normal response and I worry at the thought of that. What has happened to him?

Whats that 2%? Hmmph

Fun quiz which I got from Jean's blog. Some of the questions are really a give away.
Sec ones, if you are reading this. Do try. :) Have fun.

What Devotion...

He Won't Let You Go Lyrics - Kry

He won't let you go
the moment that you say
come and live in me
take me all the way
what He said is true
He will never leave you
forever by your side...it's true

He won't let you go
though the seasons change
He's never been so close
He's just a prayer away
when you hear the Father's call
when He's calling to you
run into His arms
don't hesitate to do it

Chorus:
He won't let you go
when He's forever by your side
He wants you to know
Jesus has paid the price
He wants you to go
forever in paradise
getting close to Him
is really all you have to do
and even when you die
He will still be by your side

He won't let you go
His love will never change
let Him hold you close
closer everyday
He would have died for you
had you been the only one
don't you ever doubt...its true

He won't let you go

R@ge 10th Anniversary.

It was a long time since the 12 girls came together. The anniversary was such an opportunity. We sang Pastor CX "Til There Was You..." Such a lovely song. *Aw....*Just wanted to really appreciate her for all that she had done for and in the ministry. Am really thankful for her countless wise words that had spurred me on all the time to love and do even more good deeds in my years of ministry.

Recently, in view of an incident, I reflected that I only know how to "fight fire" most of the times but she taught me how to trace to the source of the fire and react accordingly. Cx is so wise. I have so much more to learn.

That night CX was crowned "Miss Always There". Indeed, she is. :) Thanks once again to Amanda for the flowers, Anna for the Tiara, Joel for playing for us though it was so last minute. Regina, for the harmonising and the rest of us should really put a pat on our own shoulders for doing such a splendid job. I believe CX was really moved and touched.

Midnight Shopping!!

Wonder what many Singaporeans do on the last friday of the month after 11pm? People shop! I was astounded to see numerous fellow citizens shopping at CK Tangs at 11pm. Tell you the queue was bad...I mean it was really terrible. Bought a couple of mops and the clock struck 12, soowei yawned her way home and thank God for Liqin who lives just a block away. ALright to be more precise its a couple of blocks away. Liqin- my new Jalan ulu bilu bahar neighbour.

Hey girl thanks for sending me right to the door step. :)

Dad's 1st Step.

Today was Dad's first step. He exercised!!!??? Wah did I hear the heavens rejoice? Haa. Have been rather worried about Dad's health recently. Bloatedness, gastric, high blood pressure... aging, gaining weight. Worried. We have been asking him to go for strolls but he remained a NATO (No Action Talk Only) til today.

Dad is snoring away now ZZzzzZZz with the television program watching him. Haa I must have made him really tired. We took slightly more than a 1km walk and Dad decided to try out at the public gym area near our place. I was happy jogging while Dad took his stroll. As I encouraged him, Dad just smiled. I think he must be really proud of himself too! It was a great time spent. Strolling, chatting and just being with Dad.

"You once rejoiced over my first step. Today, I rejoice over yours..."
